Robert Hansen died in August of 2014, around the same time Robert Swetz started to once again visit the beautiful state of Alaska.

Nothing except they both are named Robert and have lived in the beautiful state of Alaska.
Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob was really unsure about using the name Alaska Bob when he first Google Searched it several months ago, because Robert Swetz (didn't) want any association with the "Serial Killer" Robert Hansen aka Alaska Bob.
After some heavy thought about using the name Alaska Bob, Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob will continue to use the name...

Now that Robert Hansen aka Alaska Bob has passed away, there is a (New) Alaska Bob in town.
And Robert Swetz doesn't believe that Robert Hansen should get anymore attention then he has over the years, knowing the nature of his twisted life on earth ;o(
