THE POWER OF NOW - "Surrender & Forgiveness" by Eckhart Tolle

THE POWER OF NOW - "Surrender & Forgiveness" by Eckhart Tolle

"Forgiveness" is a term that has been in use for 2,000 years, but most people have a very limited view of what it means. You cannot truly forgive yourself or others as long as you derive your sense of self from the past. Only through accessing The Power of Now, which is your own power, can there be true forgiveness. This renders the past powerless, and you realize deeply that nothing you ever did or that was ever done to you could touch even in the slightest the radiant essence of who you are. The whole concept of forgiveness then becomes unnecessary.

And how do I get to that point of realization?

When you surrender to what is and so become fully present, the past ceases to have any power. You do not need it anymore. Presence is the key. The Now is the key.

How will I know when I have surrendered?

When you no longer need to ask the question.

Success one day at a Time - Lesson from a Farmer - Ferndale California

Success one day at a Time - Lesson from a Farmer - Ferndale California

A young man from the city graduated from college with a degree in journalism and got a job at a small town newspaper.
One of his first assignments was to interview an old farmer who lived twenty miles outside of town.
As he sat with the grizzled man on his front porch, the young journalist looked at his notepad and starting asking his questions. One of the first he asked was, "Sir, what time do you go to work in the morning?"
The old farmer chuckled and replied, "Son, I don't go to work. I'm surrounded by it.?

We can learn a lesson from the old farmer. Opportunities are a lot like his work. They are everywhere. But the problem is that we often don't have the eyes to see them.
As you approach each day, look around. Be aware. If you don't see opportunities, remember that it's not because they aren't there. You're always surrounded by them. You simply need to open your eyes and see them. The act on them.

Change the World - Success - One day at a time by John C. Maxwell

    CHANGE THE WORLD

The following words are inscribed on the tomb of an Anglican bishop in Westminster Abby (1100 A.D.).

When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.

    But it, too, seemed immovable.

As I grew into my twilight years, in one desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.

And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed myself first, then my example I would changed my family.

From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country, and, who knows, I may have even changed the world ...
