Be Very Careful about Purchasing a Home in certain States, Cities and Towns

Be Very Careful about Purchasing a Home in certain States, Cities and Towns

When it comes to purchasing a home we need to be very careful and do our home work when it comes to Fires & Floods.
Fires can be worse then Floods because most homes are completely destroyed vs a flood.

Sure everyone has home owners insurance but usually covers accessed value which can be approx. 75% of market value and or what a person could sell their home for.
Now I did here on the news with the Northern California fires that 9 electrical power lines had fallen from the winds which may have been a part of the source that created the fires.

So in this case home owners may be able to hire an attorney and sue PG&E of California which might bring in more of the full value after the attorney takes 35% of the settled case.

Please take note:
Nobody is making you purchase a home in dry areas of California where fires may destroy your home.
Nobody is making you purchase a home in a flood zone next to major rivers.
Nobody is making you purchase a home next to the ocean where storms can come in and completely destroy your home.
Nobody is making you purchase a home next to a major vault line that can either swallow up your home or shake it apart.
Nobody is making you purchase a home in Tornado Alley in Oklahoma or other areas that have been known to have tornado's ... The List goes on!

So think before you buy a home in areas of natural disaster, and I won't even mention all the lost lives from all the fires and floods of 2017 in the United States.
Do you really want to purchase a home where you might lose your home or possibly your life?

The grass is never greener on the other side

The grass is never greener on the other side

There is a old saying the grass is greener on the other side of the road, fence, etc.
And after many years of working with different companies, living in different states, cities and going through several relationships I have to say the grass is NOT greener.
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has lived in around 5 different states in his life, around 12 different cities, traveled to many countries and cities across the world, and been through a couple different marriages.

And the grass in never greener on the other side

Now this is not to say that a certain job, relationship, etc might have come to a end and a change might be better.
But is it really?
Green is Green no matter what side of the road your on.
Life is a ever changing, experiencing different types of jobs, living in different states, cities and being in different relationships.
But if your thinking that it might be greener or better on the other side, take a close look at yourself, your job, where you live, your relationship.
The problem could possibly be something about you!
Some simple thing that could easily change the situation your in instead of trying to find greener grass ...

Here are a couple photographs I took in Alaska in 2016 and look at how green that grass is ;o)

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has a Solution for the Long Cold Winters

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has a Solution for the Long Cold Winters

How many of you are tired of the long cold winters?

How many of you are tired of shoveling snow?

How many of you are tired of driving in snow and ice, and the dangers that come with it?

How many of you have arthritis, getting older and your bodies are in pain from the cold or dampness?

I could go on and on about long cold winters because I grew up in the Midwest with below zero temperatures, snow, salt on the roads, etc.
It totally sucks and that's why I moved to Las Vegas over 20 years ago.

So having lived in a city and state with Long Cold Winters, I feel your pain ;o(
That's why I wanted to show the readers and viewers photographs with snow and the views of cold weather.
How many years have you told you spouse, partner, family or friends that some day you will move to a city or state with warmer climates and milder winters?

When I lived in the Midwest and spring finally did come around, it was exciting. Then Summer rolls around so fast, lasts maybe a month and a half, fall comes up and then that Long Cold Winter ... ;o(
Now for anyone reading this that just wants to get out of this jail of Long Cold Winters, make a plan.
I am sorry for anyone living in cities and states that are freezing, under snowfall, etc that are reading this post.
When your finished reading this post, take a walk over to a window or patio door and look at all that snow and cold. Ask yourself, is this really worth it? Life is short and maybe it's time to make that move?
And for some strange reason any of you that like living in these types of climates, all the power to you ;o)

But if you want to get out or are planning to get out in the next 1 or 2 years, call Vegas Bob about moving to Las Vegas or Henderson Nevada.
Believe me, once you've lived her for 1 or 2 years you will never want to go back.
Really think about this post, and look at these cold snowy looking photographs and ask yourself.
Why can't I live like Vegas Bob and so many others in the warm temperatures and sunshine all year long?
