How many people reading this post like viewing photographs of sunsets or sunrises?

Robert Swetz has been taking photographs of sunsets & sunrises for around 40 years now, and is by far his favorite subject to photograph next to photographing clouds.

Here are some sunsets from many different areas around the world along with one sunrise from Las Vegas that Robert Swetz has taken over the years.

Now when it comes to taking photographs of sunsets and sunrises Robert Swetz likes both but he seems to capture more sunsets vs sunrises because a person has to get up at the crack of dawn to capture sunrises.

It is so much easier to prepare for a sunset knowing what time it is suppose to set and being more awake and alert to capture that perfect moment.

Who Wants To Meet VEGAS BOB in Alaska?

Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob aka Alaska Bob will be in Anchorage Alaska, Wasilla, Palmer and surrounding areas January 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30 2017.

Alaska Bob will be celebrating a late Christmas, New Years on birthdays with family.

The weather has been very cold and snowy in Alaska for the last 2-3 weeks so Vegas Bob will be bringing the California sunshine up to Alaska.

So for anyone that wants to get together for lunch or just a get together give Robert Swetz, VB, AB a shout at 702 443 7156.

Robert Swetz feeling blessed on going to the Philippines

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has been asked by his wife 5-6 times now about traveling to the Philippines with her 2 sons, and I have never said yes.
But this morning after heavy thought and a good night sleep, Vegas Bob has decided that he will be going to the Philippines in June of 2017.
Vegas Bob already has a updated passport and will not even need a visa if I stay less than 21 days.

Robert Swetz has traveled to Myanmar (Burma) 4 different times, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, but has never been to the Philippines.
That being said, I feel blessed that I have the chance to travel to the Philippines.
And you know Vegas Bob will have video & still cameras in hand on his travels to the Philippines ;o)

The grass is never greener on the other side

The grass is never greener on the other side

There is a old saying the grass is greener on the other side of the road, fence, etc.

And after many years of working with different companies, living in different states, cities and going through several relationships I have to say the grass is NOT greener.

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has lived in around 5 different states in his life, around 12 different cities, traveled to many countries and cities across the world, and been through a couple different marriages.

And the grass in never greener on the other side

Now this is not to say that a certain job, relationship, etc might have come to a end and a change might be better.

But is it really?

Green is Green no matter what side of the road your on.

Life is a ever changing, experiencing different types of jobs, living in different states, cities and being in different relationships.

But if your thinking that it might be greener or better on the other side, take a close look at yourself, your job, where you live, your relationship.

The problem could possibly be something about you!

Some simple thing that could easily change the situation your in instead of trying to find greener grass ...

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has photographed and taken videos at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas Nevada for over 10 years straight.

The conservatory at the Bellagio displays huge flower arrangements for four different seasons per year, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
And for anyone that has had the chance to see some of the displays at the Bellagio, your are very lucky and can relate to this post.

Vegas Bob has always enjoyed taking photographs and videos and it's about time I take some new ones.

Well with Thanksgiving and Black Friday over Christmas is creeping around the corner.

Vegas Bob aka Vegas Bob continues to search fro his purpose in Life and it has been a long journey

There have been several times when Robert Swetz thought he might know his purpose in Life, and only to find out it wasn't.

Robert Swetz's purpose in life was not to raise a family because he only had one biological son.

Robert Swetz's purpose in Life was not to work construction, he was brought into the business through his father at a very young age.

Robert Swetz's purpose in Life was not to sell real estate, it was a business that he was interested in many years ago and happen to become a licensed agent.

Robert Swetz started taking photographs when he was 14 years old and has traveled the world taking photographs and videos, so Robert continues to wonder if this was his calling in Life?

Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo (Carmel Misson)

Mission San Carlos Borromeo del río Carmelo, also known as the Carmel Mission or Mission Carmel, is a Roman Cathlic mission church in Carmel-by-the-Sea California

The mission was the headquarter of the Alta California missions headed by Saint Junipero Serra from 1770 until his death in 1784.

The mission buildings and lands were secularized by the Mexican government in 1833, and had fallen into disrepair by the mid-19th century. They were partially restored beginning in 1884.

In 1886 it was transferred from the Franciscans to the local diocese and has continued as a parish church since then. It is the only one of the California Missions to have its original bell tower dome.

The Carmel Mission was in ruins when the Roman Catholic Church regained control of the mission building and the land in 1863. In 1884 Father Angel Casanova began to restore the mission building. In 1931 Monsignor Philip Scher appointed Harry Downie as the curator in charge of mission restoration.

Bixby Creek Bridge Big Bur California by Robert Swetz

The Bixby Creek Bridge located in Big Sur California is a very famous bridge that was build in 1932.
Residents of the Big Sur area were virtually cut off during winter due to the often impassable Old Coast Road that led 11 miles inland.
At its completion, the bridge was built under budget for $199,861 (equivalent to $3.5 million in 2015) and was the longest concrete arch span at 360 feeton the California State Highway System.
It is one of the tallest single-span concrete bridges in the world.
The Bixby Creek Bridge is one of the most photographed bridges in the state of California

Meet Clint Eastwood & Vegas Bob at Mission Ranch

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz is flying his wife down from Alaska for one week to stay with him in Northern California.
Vegas Bob has booked several nights at the Mission Ranch at Carmel-by-the-Sea located at the Monterey Peninsula.

Now Vegas Bob can't guarantee that Clint Eastwood will be at the Mission Ranch this following weekend, but Vegas Bob is hoping so.
Clint Eastwood has been know to mingle with motel quests eating at the restaurant from time to time when he's not working on movies.

Now maybe people just want to meet Clint Eastwood and not Vegas Bob, and in that case well I guess I can't help you out there.
Vegas Bob will be taking new photographs when he stays at the Mission Ranch with his wife, and if Clint is there this weekend you know Vegas Bob will want a photograph taken with him.
