Latest Breaking News on Robert Swetz Working on GOOGLE Projects
Robert Swetz just found out today that he will be working on (New) Google Construction Projects in Silicon Valley in Northern California.
Google has many (New) buildings, etc going up in the very near future in California.
In early fall of 2018 Robert Swetz has been dialed in on working on these new projects.
Robert Swetz (does not) want to disclose the company he will be working for, the exact projects, etc for security and or other reasons.
But if Robert Swetz plays his cards right and zips his lip he may just be working on (New) projects for GOOGLE for the next 4-5 years and possibly retire from one of these projects ;o)
On our drive back from Homer to Anchorage my wife was sleeping because she had to work this morning, I captured a Slice of Heaven.
There was quite a bit of traffic headed into Anchorage driving around Turn Again Arm but I had to turn around to take in the beauty and share this moment with you.

Incredible Mountains and Colors of Alaska by Robert Swetz
Every time I visit Alaska I take hundreds of photographs because I have been into photography most of my life.
I have been to this area where this photo was taken around 50 times and for some reason every time I visit areas in Alaska the scene seems to change from the different seasons, clouds, position of the sun and more.
Now the first time you view this photo you might think it was photo shopped to bring out the vibrant colors and I may have tweeted it just a little.
But for anyone that has been to Alaska they will tell you the trees, grass and vegetation is very great and that's because it snows so much during the winter and rains so much in spring, summer, fall.
What I like so much about this photo is that I spent over 45 minutes getting up to the peak of the huge rock formation to take this photo, if fact there was only one young couple that actually attempted it just after me out of many people. There is very sticky sand and mud that a person foot can get stuck in and have to call for help and or 911.
People have been know to drown because bay the time some help comes the tide will rise and drown them.
This photo really shows the many different colors of Alaska between the rocks, looking up the green mountain side and across the bay to the snow cap mountains ;o)
Growing up in the Midwest surrounded by 10,000 lakes I always dreamed of going to Alaska. I can't even remember how many times I would say to family and friends, I am going to go to Alaska some day.
One day my friend that owned a company I was working for said, Bob we are tired of you always saying your going to Alaska.
So back in 2001 I purchased a 3 foot x 6 foot map of Alaska for about $80 dollars and put it on the wall of my home. As I looked at this map of Alaska that covered the whole wall I would say to myself "I will be going to Alaska soon."
In fall of 2001 I had the chance to go with believe it or not, a friend of the boss that kept telling me he was tired of me always talking about going. We flew up to Alaska, rented a car and drove 1500 miles to the major cities and towns like Anchorage, Seward, Homer, Palmer, Wasilla just to name a few.
When I came back to the Lower 48 all I could talk about was Alaska, it was in my blood and the memories were imprinted in my mind for years.
I have been traveling all my life and have traveled through 40+ states across the USA and also traveled in beautiful places around the world. Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, Minnesota, Idaho, California just to name a few.
Of all the places I have ever traveled there are 2 states that come close to the beauty of Alaska ... California & Oregon. Both states have the mountains, ocean, lakes and rivers. But the real difference is Alaska has more wildlife than people, approx 650,000 people live in the whole state of Alaska and 1/2 of the 650K live in Anchorage. Can you imagine? San Jose California alone has over 1 million people ...
Alaska is Mother Natures playground and people that that live and travel to Alaska are just visitors. There are millions of animals, fish and birds that out number people a thousand times fold. You will never see this in the lower 48, not even Yellowstone.
In 2008 I met a soon to be friend and associate at the ActiveRain Real Estate network named Debra Leisek. For the first 3-4 years at ActiveRain Debra and I would comment back and forth. I would always mention to Debra how beautiful Alaska was and so she started sending me listings on acreage around Homer Alaska.
Well in 2014 a dear friend of mine moved to Alaska and asked if I would like to come and visit, within 2 weeks I was once again on my way back to The Last Frontier. In 2015 I purchased some acreage through Debra in Alaska and in 2018 closed on a small home in Alaska through Bay Realty in Homer Alaska. Who would ever thought that my connection with Debra in 2008 at the ActiveRain network would lead to a close friendship and associate, and actually owning property in Alaska?
In fact I have spoken to Debra several times about getting licensed to sell real estate in Homer Alaska. I signed up for school, printed out the study guide for taking the Alaska State Exam but have yet to complete it. I have around 4 more years of working construction and then I will be spending 4-5 months in Alaska through the summer's and possibly selling real estate with Debra.
Since my first visit to Alaska in 2001 I have been spending time from 2 weeks to 4 months when I lived in Anchorage in 2015, between 2014 to 2018, and will once again be in Alaska this coming June 2018.
So many of my family and friends aways say ... "I would love to visit Alaska but can't imagine living there."
And I always say to them why not? Once your retired what place could possibly be more beautiful, relaxing with fresh air, less traffic, less people, etc, then Alaska. Some say to me it would be so boring ... come on boring to me is sitting in traffic for hours, or a line at the store, or listening to all the noise and negativity coming from people's mouths, just to name a few.
I am completely sold on Alaska The Last Frontier and couldn't think of a more beautiful relaxing place to live or travel in. And I am proud to own several pieces of land and a home in a area that I only dreamed of when I was growing up.
Alaska has become my home away from home and I look forward to that last day of working construction and hanging up my hat, packing my suitcases and flying up to Alaska for those long summer days & nights ;o)

Silicon Valley California or Las Vegas for Robert Swetz? At the moment Robert Swetz has been preparing himself physically and mentally for the next new construction project to come his way. Robert has checked some new projects out and likes several but none that are really close to where he lives in San Jose. Robert was offered several jobs in downtown San Francisco but (does not) want to spend 4 hours per day commuting from SJ to SF.
There are many new construction projects getting ready light up in Las Vegas Nevada and the Bay Area. But at this moment Robert being patient about where his next move will be. Robert doesn't really want to take any job but is really trying to let fate direct him into the next project. Robert's gut feeling will let him know which construction project he will be landing and has been doing this for the last 3 years now, and it's been working very well. Robert would really like to get on the (new) Google project coming up in Mountain View California. And Robert would really like to work at Resorts World Las Vegas Nevada but both projects have been pushed to a later date in fall of 2018 or early spring of 2019. Still patiently waiting ...
Well with all this bad news about FaceBook, Google and other networks sharing our private information on our accounts, Vegas Bob is stepping back some.
Vegas Bob recently deleted 2 of his FaceBook accounts and is not really sure what he's going to do with his other 2?
Vegas Bob also has a Blogger.com which is run by Google and 3 major Google+ accounts he posts blogs to on a daily basis.
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has been reading 4 different books and will be taking a break from FaceBook, Blogger.com and Google+.
Robert Swetz may throw out a post now and then within the ActiveRain network for about 2-3 maybe 4 weeks.
Robert Swetz will be off the grid for a while reading his books and wondering what he is going to do about his other FaceBook accounts and Google+.
Vegas Bob's Google Juice may be drying up a bit ;o/

I deleted one of my FaceBook accounts today and there may be more ... Late last evening and into this morning I started to unfriend family and friends at one of my FaceBook accounts.
The FaceBook a account that I just deleted was opened up in March of 2008 so it took me around 2+ hours to delete everything. I know FaceBook and the FBI keep everything that was ever loaded including photos, friends, etc but I still wanted to delete what I could.
I have a couple other FaceBook accounts that I will be cleaning up, dropping so called friends and acquaintances, and possibly deleting?
So if for some reason you were a family member and or friend of my FaceBook account that's gone, please search Robert Swetz, Vegas Bob or Alaska Bob and I might add you as a friend ;o)
Pfeiffer State Park Big Sur California by Robert Swetz Here are several photographs of Big Sur California that I have taken over the years with a new fresh video of Pfeiffer State Park with the water fall and beach.
For anyone that has never been to Big Sur California all I can tell you is get you butt out to the Pacific Coast and take a look for yourself.
Big Sur is breath taking and there is so much to see that it might take you a full week just to view the special places like the water falls along the beach at Pfeiffer State Park in the video (below) ;o)
Purchasing Real Estate in Alaska by Robert Swetz My first visit to Alaska was back in 2001 and I have been living and traveling back and forth to Alaska from the Lower 48 for around 4 years now. I have traveled all over the USA and other parts of the world and I have yet to find a place as quiet and beautiful as Alaska.
Northern California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon, Utah, Minnesota and other states have come close to the beauty Alaska has to offer but not quite as quiet and or serene.
I am working purchasing yet my second piece of real estate within the Last Frontier in April 2018. Sure the winters are long and the temperatures cooler and cold, but I don't have to live and or stay in Alaska during the winters. And many others that are retired and or close to my age don't stay in Alaska during the long winters either.
I figure another 3-4 years working as a glazier in construction and I will hang up my hat, retire and spend 4-5 months in beautiful Alaska on my properties. I will keep a condo in Las Vegas and continue to sell real estate in Las Vegas and also purchase some property in northern California around Eureka close to the redwood trees.
My wife has connections and family in the Philippines and Myanmar so we may travel and stay there from time to time also. But as for hiking in pure beauty with very few people to bother me Alaska will be the number one place where I will be hanging my hat.

All of these photos I took were taken around Hatcher Pass north of Wasilla approx. 40 miles north of Anchorage Alaska. These photos were taken during the summer months and I have also left some video footage during the winter months with plenty of snow.

Lake Las Vegas located approx 20 miles south east of the Las Vegas Strip is a great get away from all the tourists, fast lane and hustle and bustle.
Even if I'm not showing homes for sale around Lake Las Vegas I will take a short drive with family or friends for a relaxing afternoon. Sometimes there is music and or entertainment during the evenings and weekends.
