A Slice of Heaven by Robert Swetz

On our drive back from Homer to Anchorage my wife was sleeping because she had to work this morning, I captured a Slice of Heaven.

There was quite a bit of traffic headed into Anchorage driving around Turn Again Arm but I had to turn around to take in the beauty and share this moment with you.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and I will continue to share as much of the beauty of Alaska as I can with you ;o)

Beauty of Big Sur California by Robert Swetz 9/18/2016

Robert Swetz had the privilege of driving down Hwy 1 along the Pacific Coast line in Big Sur California yesterday.
I have been visiting Big Sur California which is approx 40 miles south of Monterey now since the late 70's as a teenager.
There really is no place on earth that is like Big Sur California.

These photographs that I took on Saturday 9/17/2016 are very nice, colorful and give the viewers an idea of just home beautiful Big Sur really is.
But viewing Big Sur is person through the eyes is so much more beautiful, the cool sea breeze, the smell on salt in the air and the presence of being in Big Sur California is a must for anyone that has never been there.

Will Robert Vegas Bob Swetz live in Alaska in 2016?

Will Robert "Vegas Bob" Swetz live in the state of Alaska in the year 2016?

Well this is a very good question and many readers of Vegas Bob's posts and blogs might already have the answer.

Vegas Bob aka Robert Swetz tries to live in the "NOW" and believes that yesterday is the past (over) and tomorrow doesn't exist.

Vegas Bob also believes that the Past and the Future are only illusions, and until the Past and the Future become NOW ...

They are nothing!

So that being said, Robert Swetz takes everyday, "One Day at a Time" and cannot really answer the question to the title of this post.

Robert will be arriving in Anchorage Alaska July 10th 2015, and will be spending 2 weeks on vacation at "The Last Frontier" ;o)

And even though Vegas Bob lives in The "NOW", he is a very "Spur of the Moment" type of person.

And that being said, Vegas Bob has been known to just pick up and take off to just about anywhere, anytime whenever he wants.

So don't be surprised if Vegas Bob spends 2016 in beautiful Alaska in 2016.

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz is Excited about Summer in Alaska 2015

Vegas Bob Spent around 90 days in a 5 month span in Alaska in 2014 and he is really not sure if he can top this in 2015.

Vegas Bob is already planning a trip up to Alaska this summer and it's only January. The temps in Alaska are just starting to drop below zero, and it will be at least another 4-5 months until the temps warm up in AK.

But until Summer comes around and or the temperatures warm up in Alaska, Vegas Bob will continue dreaming.

And with all the photographs VB has, it's very easy to dream ;o)

UFO's Aurora Borealis Northern Lights Alaska Robert Vegas Bob Swetz

Here are some photos that Robert Swetz captured early this morning at 1:30am 11-15-2014 in Anchorage Alaska.

Please forgive Robert for the blurriness of the photo, because they were taken with his iPhone.

Robert Swetz aka "Vegas Bob" doesn't have his laptop connected to the Internet. So these photos were taken with his Nikon D90 with (NO) tripod. Then the photos were uploaded to one of his cheaper laptops and the photos were taken from his iPhone directly from his laptop screen.

The photographs look much better loaded from his D90 on the laptop and the photos would have turned out much better if Vegas Bob had used a tripod.

So Vegas Bob will be going out tonight more prepared than last night and will do his best to capture better photos for everyone to view ;o)

Hatchers Pass Lodge Alaska - Robert Vegas Bob Swetz 8-20-2014

Here are some great photos that I took on my visit to Alaska.

All of these photos were taken with my iPhone so the clarity is a bit unclear and pixels are small.

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz spent 2 different days hiking around Hatchers Pass Lodge and the lakes and mountain peaks.

The pink purple flowers that you see in some of the photographs grow wild and are called ... "FIREWEED"

These are some of my favorite photos that I took on my visit to Hatchers Pass and I hope to take more in the near future.

For anyone interested in visiting the beautiful state of Alaska, I would suggest driving to Hatchers Pass located approx 45 miles north of Anchorage and approx 20 miles north of Wasilla.

The very last photo above was taken of a painting that someone had painted for the Hatchers Pass Lodge ... ;o)
