Here are several photographs of Big Sur California that I have taken over the years with a new fresh video of Pfeiffer State Park with the water fall and beach.

For anyone that has never been to Big Sur California all I can tell you is get you butt out to the Pacific Coast and take a look for yourself.

Big Sur is breath taking and there is so much to see that it might take you a full week just to view the special places like the water falls along the beach at Pfeiffer State Park in the video (below) ;o)

Well I would have to say February 3rd 2018 was quite a lucky day for Vegas Bob walking along the beaches.

I left the house at about 7:00am yesterday to beat the traffic and walk the beaches with the tide out in search of Jade.

I started walking and looking as soon as I reached my destination because the tide was slowly coming in. Right away I came across the piece of Jade that's in my hand in the photo at the top of the page.

Followed by the other pieces just above this photo straight above where I had lunch after my find. Most of the jade pieces I found are around the size of a baseball and they are beautiful.

On the way home I came across this beautiful farm property with 1000's of Pacific Coast frontage. I am thinking it might be more property Clint Eastwood owns along with all his other properties in Carmel By The Sea ;o)

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz spent the whole day Saturday in Santa Cruz California staying out of the extreme heat in San Jose.

Vegas Bob usually parks away from the crowds up on the bluff of West Cliff Drive and Cowell Street overlooking the bluff to Santa Cruz Pier.

West Cliff Drive is a beautiful area filled with homes that date back 100 years, and as I walked along the roads where I parked my car I snapped a view photos.

This home above is one of my favorites located on Santa Cruz Street and West Cliff Drive.

Here is another beautiful home located just behind the first photo, this home is facing the pacific ocean on West Cliff Drive.

Here is a great photo of the front door entry of a beautiful looking home and the design is very impressive, along with another front door entry of  home next to this one.

Robert Swetz spends quite a few weekends playing around Santa Cruz which is only 30 miles from where he is staying in San Jose. Biggest reason would be 15-20 degree cooler temperatures and the beauty of the pacific coast.

As you can see Santa Cruz Beach was packed with families playing along the beach, fishing off the Santa Cruz Pier and playing along the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.

Every Friday from the beginning of June till September musical bands play twice per night on Fridays the it's FREE ... ;o)

Robert Swetz has been traveling to Oceanside, Carlsbad, Laguna Beach and many other beach towns in southern California for around 40 years now.
My first visit to San Diego County and southern California was when I was age 17 years old.
Since then I cannot get enough of the Pacific Coast in SoCal and after spending several months in Alaska, I have really been thinking about areas of San Diego.

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has been traveling through the state of California since he was a teenager, and continues to travel to this day.

Around the "Bay Area" in NorCal Vegas Bob is very particular about the beaches he hangs out at.

Las Selva Beach located south of Santa Cruz and Capitola is one of VB's favorite next to Half Moon Bay, Carmel, Monterey and Big Sur.

What VB likes about La Selva Beach is ...

It's located less than 30 miles from where he is staying in Morgan Hill.

Most of the people that go to La Selva Beach are locals.

La Selva Beach has very few people and very quiet.

Quietness is what VB is searching for when he is hanging around the Pacific Coast ;o)
