I am finally getting a break from work and some days off over Labor Day so it's off to Alaska for 4-5 days.
It's been a long time since I was in Alaska and I am looking forward to being with my wife and the boys.
I just finished booking my flight and the excitement has overwhelmed me. As you can see I pulled some photos from the Internet by Google searching Alaska Robert Vegas Bob Swetz.
For anyone that doesn't know what my favorite pass time is, it would be traveling and taking photographs and videos.
And as you can see from my photos I enjoy taking photos and videos of lakes, reflections, sunrises, sunsets, mountains and more.
I will definitely have my cameras in hand and will be traveling to my favorite places while I'm in Alaska.
For anyone that has never had the chance to visit Alaska I would suggest you put it in your bucket list.
And for anyone that doesn't think they will ever get the chance to visit Alaska in their life, here are some wonderful photos.

Starting
January 1st 2017 Robert Vegas Bob Swetz will no longer be writing posts
about his personal life, vacations, etc but will only be posting
material about real estate.
Real estate in Las Vegas, Henderson Nevada and other states and cities across the nation.
January 1st will mark the 9 year anniversary of when Vegas Bob first joined the ActiveRain network.
Vegas Bob has posted his fair share of material on his personal life, traveling and so much more.
Vegas Bob has made so many great associates & friends at the ActiveRain network and I love you all ... ;o)
Vegas Bob will continue to moderate his 15+ groups at ActiveRain, leave comments and replies to comments.

Robert Swetz feeling blessed on going to the Philippines
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has been asked by his wife 5-6 times now about traveling to the Philippines with her 2 sons, and I have never said yes. But this morning after heavy thought and a good night sleep, Vegas Bob has decided that he will be going to the Philippines in June of 2017. Vegas Bob already has a updated passport and will not even need a visa if I stay less than 21 days.

Robert Swetz has traveled to Myanmar (Burma) 4 different times, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, but has never been to the Philippines. That being said, I feel blessed that I have the chance to travel to the Philippines. And you know Vegas Bob will have video & still cameras in hand on his travels to the Philippines ;o)
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has some Big changes coming up in the year 2017 ... Vegas Bob will be doing some traveling around the USA and possibly be traveling overseas.
Vegas Bob would really like to take a trip to the Holy Land in Israel and possibly Egypt if it's safe for Americans. If Las Vegas picks up with construction projects Vegas Bob may be setting himself up to work construction in Las Vegas Nevada.
Vegas Bob has been asked if he would like to travel to the Philippines and Myanmar, but he's not sure if he will be traveling to the other side of the world in 2017. Some other Big changes that Vegas Bob will be working on is setting himself up for future retirement purchasing properties where VB will be hanging his hat during the 4 different seasons.
Good Morning from Myanmar by Robert Vegas Bob Swetz
Over the past 15 years I have had the privilege of traveling to Southeast Asia four different times. Myanmar (Burma) 4 times, Thailand 2 times, Taiwan 2 times, Singapore once and several others.
When I think about my travels to South East Asia I find it hard to believe sometimes that I ever traveled there. But when I go through the 100's of 1000's of photographs that I took when I was there, I know that I was there.
I have approx 3000+ photographs that I took in parts of Myanmar, Thailand & Singapore that I have never viewed before. When I shot photographs in South East Asia with my 35mm cameras I was taking so many photographs. I would fill the sim cards with approx 550 full pixel photos and when they were full I would take them out and put in a blank sim card.
Many photographers will fill a sim card and then upload the photos into a laptop and or external hard drive to store them, and then delete the photos from the card.
So with all these sim cards that I filled with photographs of beautiful areas in South East Asia, I will in the near future start sharing them with the public.

Vacation in Australia and New Zealand by Robert Swetz
Around 20 years ago I had planned on moving to Australia, completing most of the paper work for immigration, etc.
I was very excited about immigrating to Australia but never went through with my plans.
Since then I always dream about visiting Australia and New Zealand.
After reading books about Australia I became intrigued with some other islands next to Australia called New Zealand.
And once I started reading books and looking at photographs of New Zealand, I became more interested in visiting New Zealand.
Australia and New Zealand are so close to each other that if a person was going to visit one country, they might as well visit the other.
So that being said, I have once again really started thinking about visiting Australia and New Zealand soon, before I get to old to travel long distance.

The secret to Life is quite simple but very difficult for many to grasp because of either our upbringing by parents, teachers and people around us.
The number one secret to Life is to know your purpose, why were you born, why are you here, etc.
Once you have really discovered your purpose in Life, everything else starts falling into place.
The second secret to Life is to find that perfect place, a place where you are totally content, relaxed, amazed either by it's beauty and where we have peace of mind.
Remember this place, revisit this place and return to this place as often as possible, and remember there can be more than one place.
