The next 1 to 2 sales transactions will take me to the Holy Land

That's right Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has made a promise that after the next 1 to 2 sales transactions he would take his wife to the Holy Land, and Robert did not make that promise to his wife!
Vegas Bob has always been interested in going to Israel, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Nazareth, and other places of the the Holy Land so he has made a promise he will not break it.
He would also like to visit Egypt but has heard it's very dangerous for Americans to travel to Egypt so for now it will be 1-2 weeks in Israel and then back to America.
Vegas Bob  is not exactly sure when he will be going and will have to wait until the next 1-2 real estate  transactions ...
So who wants to help bring Vegas Bob and his wife to the Holy Land?

Clouds over Turnagain Arm Alaska by Robert Swetz 

Turnagain Arm is located south of Anchorage and is located on the northwestern part of the Gulf of Alaska.

When driving south of Anchorage towards Girdwood, Seward, Hope, Homer, Soldotna and Kenai Alaska there are large mountain ranges and great views for taking photographs.

I have driven around the Turnagain Arm over 20 different times in the last 2 years while staying in Alaska and it seems like every time I drive it there are different clouds, shadows which make for new photos each time.

This wonderful cloud photo was taken early Saturday morning 8/27/2016 on our way to Homer Alaska for our halibut fishing trip. As you can see in the photo there was fog between the water and mountains along with the brilliant cloud formation that made for some great photos.

Later in the day the clouds all disappeared while we where in Homer and it has been beautiful and sunny ever since which makes for a wonderful vacation ;o)

For anyone that has been to BIG SUR California these photos and video are going to bring back some great memories. And for anyone that has never been to BIG SUR California ... "Shame On You" and what are you waiting for?

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz had the privilege to once again visit one of his favorite places along the pacific coast today and here are several photos that I took along the way.

Along with a video that I took several years ago when I was in BIG SUR. This video footage of BIG SUR was loaded up to YouTube and I am not very impressed with YouTube because the actual video blows away the one I presented here on the post. Unless you (PAY) YouTube money for High Definition video all you get is this low definition one. The actual video I took of BIG SUR was taken with a $6000 dollar video camera and it is tucked away in my video library along with 100's of other videos.

I guess you get what you pay for!

So for anyone that hasn't ever been to visit BIG SUR I would suggest you put it in your 'Bucket List' along with a visit to Carmel, Monterey Bay and some other wonderful places north of BIG SUR.

Vegas Bob has been visiting BIG SUR since he was a teenager and still continues to this day because once you've actually been to BIG SUR and viewed it's beauty live and close-up you will be taken away ...

Did Robert Swetz capture UFO in a Cloud?

Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob has been taking photographs for over 35 years and when he comes across a strange object in the sky, he begins to wonder.

I begin to wonder what that green ball is in the cloud? Could it be a UFO? Maybe some aircraft from another country? A drone?

I have spent many late nights into early hours around AREA 51, parts of New Mexico and other states across the US looking into the sky. Looking at satellites, shooting stars and other moving objects. 

In fact several years ago when I was on the edge of AREA 51 by Rachel Nevada around midnight and I had my cameras, video camera and binoculars out looking into the sky. I was alone and all of a sudden cars and trucks started driving up to the same location from the east a couple hours later.

They also had cameras, binoculars and chairs that they sat on as they also looked into the sky. After about one hour I slowly went over to them and asked some of them what they were looking at, some of them said satellites and UFOs. I asked some of them if they have ever seen a UFO and they replied yes  haven't you? I proceeded to ask another gentleman what a UFO looked like and he said UFOs come in many shapes and forms. He first sighting of a UFO was when he was around 5 years old, he said the UFO was long and shaped like a cigar. He stated that the UFO would slowly move from electrical power lines sucking electricity from them.

As I talked with many of them about UFOs they started to show me while looking into the stars what they look like compared to satellites, planets and shooting stars.

The people that I met that evening were a special group of people from Idaho that travel to different parts of the US viewing UFOs. They also mentioned that their favorite place to view with more sightings then anywhere across the country was around AREA 51 in Nevada.

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz owned a lake property in northern Minnesota 25 years ago that he sold 2 years ago because he hadn't had a chance to stay in it for almost 8 years. With 161 feet of shore line on Island Lake by Northome Minnesota Robert's property was very beautiful but the winters there were colder than winters in Anchorage Alaska, dropping down to 20-30 below zero.

Robert also owned a river property in northern California with 600 feet on the Mad River with 11 acres of rolling black oak trees that he sold 16 years ago. Located in Humboldt county after marijuana became legal Robert ended up losing approx $450,000 dollars in equity if he had not sold it when he did.

Robert has been searching once again for a very small home or cabin on a lake with some privacy. It doesn't have to be big or fancy, in fact a fixer-upper would be just fine. And Robert doesn't want a lake home in Alaska because he already spent most of the summer looking in 2015.

 Robert would like to find a lake/cabin home in states between Nevada and Alaska where the temps don't reach below zero. States like Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho or western Montana.

Now if Robert can find a great deal in another state, well there might be a chance we would be interested in a purchase.

The lake that Robert is interested in finding a home/cabin can't be some little pond and or small lake, Robert wants a home on a lake where he can travel and cruise around searching for fish and adventure.

Home Buyers: There is no such thing as a Perfect Home

Last week I asked a question to the Q & A platform "Is there such thing as a Perfect Home" and around 80% of the answers that came in from ActiveRain members was ... NO!

I believe that the Perfect Home is in the eyes of the beholder, and every ones opinion of the Perfect Home is different.

For example: take a look at the home right (above), a architect more than likely designed this home and he may think this is the Perfect Home for him, and some people may think it's ugly.

Whether we are single, married with no children, married with 6 children, young, middle aged, or retired, everyone has that idea of the Perfect Home.

People like different colors, pools, no pools, 1 stories, 2 stories, 3 stories, log homes, earth homes, dome homes, igloos (just checking to see if your paying attention) and just about every type of home you could ever imagine as the Perfect Home.

And even if we think we have either found that Perfect Home and or helped create that Perfect Home by home improvements, fixing up etc, as we get older our idea of the Perfect home starts to change once again.

Many years ago a persons career lasted a life time and in this day and age a person may go through 3 different careers.

And then we have styles that come and go over the years, the 1930's, 40's 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, etc that are forever changing. Some styles come back into style and some only come around once.

So if Home Buyers are looking for that Perfect Home, there really isn't the Perfect Home.

Now if Home Buyers are looking for a specific home to their liking and or one that fits their needs and or one they feel they could fix up and call the Perfect Home, wonderful!

So for all you Home Buyers that keep looking and looking and looking for that Perfect Home, please stop being so picky. You can paint it a different color, you can tear out the carpet, you can do so many different things to a home to help to make it your Perfect Home.

And always remember ... You are not married to your home, you can sell it any time you like until you feel you have found the Perfect Home!

Personally I like these homes on the lake because I grew up around water when my grandfather owned a lake home when I was young and growing up. Every time I get around a home on a lake it brings back happy memories ... ;o)
