Robert "Vegas Bob" Swetz was born and raised in Minnesota. In school Robert studied art, was on the swim team, tennis team, played baseball, hockey, kayaked the St Croix river and rock climbed the cliffs in his early teens.
When Robert was 16 years old he moved to Portland Oregon with a best friend. He lived in Portland off and on for around 5 years. When Robert lived in Portland he hiked around Mt Hood ever weekend, took photographs, studied art and played guitar with some rock bands in garages. Also while in Portland Robert modeled vintage clothing for clothes stores, newspapers and small magazines.
Between living in Portland Robert would go back to Minnesota and work for his father's glass company in St Paul MN. Robert swept floors at Brin Northwestern Glass Company when he was 11 years old when his father was a glazing foreman. And in 1974 Robert started working for his father's glass company in St Paul, and went to school for modeling for John Robert Powers. Robert spent 5 days in Manhattan New York with the JRP modeling school and showed his modeling porfolio to the Ford Modeling agency. Robert was not tall enough at 5'10 and the Ford Agency suggested Robert go to acting school because he had the look of a actor, at that time Robert never pursued acting ... ;o(
In 1984 Robert became a journeyman glazier (glass installer) and still works as a union glazier for Local 2001 in Las Vegas Nevada.
In 1999 Robert moved to Las Vegas Nevada and worked as a journeyman glazier on many huge construction projects along Las Vegas Blvd. Before Robert moved to Las Vegas he purchased properties in Minnesota and California and made very good money doing this. So he went to school for real estate and became licensed in the state of Nevada.
Robert is a licensed RE agent in the state of Nevada, and is still a journeyman glazier for Local 2001 in Las Vegas Nevada.
Robert has continued with his photography & art for the last 35 years. Robert has written 2 books titled "Happiness Within" and ""Dark side of David". Robert has taken some acting classes in Las Vegas and joined the ActiveRain real Estate network in January of 2008. Robert became a Minister and applied for papers in the state of Nevada to be a Ordained Minister, which would allow Robert to marry couples in Las Vegas and Clark County.
Robert started taking videos around 5 year ago, and has approx 830 videos at 2 YouTube accounts.
Robert has traveled all his life, and has traveled within 40 states in the United States including Alaska, traveled to Mexico several times, Canada, Myanmar/Burma 4 times, Thailand ... Phuket, Bangkok, Pattya, Singapore, Taiwan, etc. Has lived in St Paul MN, Portland OR, San Francisco CA, Santa Barbara CA and lives in Las Vegas NV now!
Robert became a single man in May of 2011 and is slowly looking for his soul mate, if there is such a thing ... ;o)
