Some positive advice around the Holiday Season by Robert Swetz
The holidays are coming up soon, Christmas and New Years are right around the corner.
With family gatherings around the holiday season come many feelings and emotions, some good and some bad.
So some words of advice from Robert "Vegas Bob" Swetz ... ;o)
Try your best to think about NOW!
When you are with family, think about how lucky you are! Take a look around at your family, tell them how much you love them, give each and everyone of them a great BIG hug. And if you are not with your family, find some friends to be around for the Christmas holiday, try not to be alone.
Christmas is a time of Joy, Love, Laughter, Peace and bonding with family and friends.
Try your best to not let anyone rain on your parade, we are all 100% responsible for our own actions. Nobody can make us feel a certain way, it's how we respond to others, etc.
And after the holidays, do your best to keep each and everyday on a positive note, loving, peaceful and joyful.
Our time on earth will pass in the "Twinkling of an Eye" so make the most of it and love one another as much as you can.

"Happy Mother's Day" to my mother I haven't seen in 45 years
"Happy Mother's Day" to my mother I haven't seen in 45 years.
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz would like to wish his mother a "Happy Mother's Day"
It has been over 45 years since VB has seen his biological mother. And the lady in the photo below is VB's stepmother Dorothy Gilbert that passed away in the year 2010.
VB was working on a large construction project when his stepmother was dying of cancer. VB's sister had mentioned to VB that she was so far gone, that there would be no reason to fly to the Midwest to see her before she passed.
To this day, I wish I had flown to be by my stepmothers bed when she passed away.
For any of you that have the opportunity to spend Mother's Day with your mother's, you are very "Lucky"
Vegas Bob doesn't get to spend Mother's Day with his mother ;o(
"Enjoy the moment and please don't forget to tell your mother how much you love her" ;o)

Try and be HAPPY with the things you have ... ;o)

So many people in this world complain about all the things they don't have, instead of just being HAPPY with the things they do have. I even find myself complaining sometimes about gas prices, the way someone acts, what their wearing and little things that really don't add up to anything.
I have been to 3rd World Countries so I should know better ...
This photo (above) was taken on a small island in Myanmar/ Burma. This boy and 3 girls have NO television, NO radio, NO car, NO microwave, NO bicycle, NO bed to sleep in (they sleep on the ground) and really nothing but the clothes on their bodies, their family and really not very much else. We didn't hear them complaining about the things they don't have, in fact they were HAPPY and laughing because they had never seen an American.
It is the simple things in life we take for granted ... think about every person you have in your life! Think about how "Lucky" you are to have what you have, and please try to be HAPPY!
These poor children in the photo (below) have no mother & father, no bed to sleep in and very little food to eat ;o(
